Ratnesh Kumar, a resident of the serene village of Malal Dabri in Kanker district, has become a shining example of rural entrepreneurship and economic transformation. In 2021, Ratnesh embarked on a journey to create a sustainable livelihood for himself and his community. With the support of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) and his innovative spirit, Ratnesh established a poultry unit with 500 birds and an egg incubator with an 800-egg capacity. The KVK played a crucial role in Ratnesh's success story by providing him with skill training, essential inputs, and resources. They equipped him with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively manage his poultry unit. Ratnesh received 500 Kadaknath chicks, utensils, initial feed, and a low-cost egg incubator, which he further modified and optimized for greater efficiency. Through his hard work and innovative approach, Ratnesh achieved remarkable results. Within a year, his poultry unit produced an impressive 6,800 chicks, surpassing all expectations. Not only did this bring him financial prosperity, but it also generated 187 man-days of employment for individuals in his village, contributing to the local economy. Ratnesh's annual income of ₹160,500 has not only improved his own standard of living but has also created a ripple effect in the community. His success has inspired others to explore entrepreneurship, sparking a wave of economic growth in Malal Dabri. Ratnesh's story is a testament to the power of determination, innovation, and institutional support in transforming lives and communities. In just a short period, Ratnesh Kumar has emerged as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change in his village. His success demonstrates that with the right resources and an entrepreneurial spirit, even in rural areas, individuals like Ratnesh can achieve remarkable feats and become drivers of progress.

Chait Ram, a resident of the idyllic village of Komalpur in Kanker district, has embarked on a journey of success and prosperity through his innovative approach to goat farming. In April 2021, Chait Ram started his venture with a small-scale unit comprising 5 does and 1 buck. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) played a pivotal role in Chait Ram's success story by providing organized skill training and crucial support. Recognizing the importance of improved breed selection, the KVK supplied Chait Ram with graded Sirohi goats, known for their superior characteristics and high productivity. Driven by a spirit of innovation, Chait Ram introduced a collective grazing approach for his goats. This not only improved the quality of their diet but also enhanced their overall health and productivity. Additionally, Chait Ram constructed a bamboo floor shed, which provided a clean and hygienic environment for his goats, minimizing the risk of diseases and ensuring their well-being. Through Chait Ram's diligence and dedication, his goat farming business flourished. Within a year, his unit expanded to include 16 does, a testament to his expertise and meticulous care. Moreover, the increased scale of his operation resulted in the generation of 310 man-days of employment for individuals in his village, contributing to the local economy and empowering the community. Chait Ram's success story is a testament to the transformative power of entrepreneurship and innovative farming practices. With the support of the KVK and his unwavering determination, he has achieved remarkable results in a relatively short period. His story serves as an inspiration to others in his village, encouraging them to explore similar opportunities for growth and prosperity. Theme : Integrated Farming System Model Shri Lallu Ram is a farmer of tribal dominant district Kanker and is working hard in his field for his family survival. But due to lack of resources and technical knowledge he is not getting the desirable output even with his sufficient land holding for his existence. Later on after the start of IFS project, he came in contact of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kanker in the year 2011-12. KVK scientist provide training and technical guidance to shri Lallu Ram and financial assistance by Project. Now he practices integrated farming system in his farm by growing Rice, Fishery, Poultry. In Rabi he started Maize crop which was previously left fallow by him. He also planted fruit crops in small area for his family consumption. By adopting this IFS model and rabi cropping he is now one of the successful farmer of the locality and is very well established and known farmer of the village. He is now a source of inspiration for all the other farmers of the locality who's are learning the things for improving their livelihood.
