About Us Kumari Devi Choubey College of Agriculture and Research Station, Saja, is constituent College of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, situated in the Village- Mohgaon (Saja), Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh. The College was established on 17 August 2019. It is 2nd Agriculture College in Bemetara district with responsibility of agricultural Education, Research and Extension of technologies. The major objectives of the College are; making provision for the education in agriculture and other allied sciences, carrying out research in Agriculture and other allied sciences, undertaking field extension programs and improving the level of living of rural people and to conduct site specific research on cropping system, identification of new technologies for the region, research on fruit & vegetable, agro-forestry, irrigation water management and conservation of medicinal plant species etc.

Our Mission Improving the competitiveness of agriculture sector, by building capacity, enhancing productivity and profitability, maintaining sustainability of production and consumption systems through efficient use of natural resources and energy, and catalyzing innovation across the agriculture in order to ensure food and nutritional security, and inclusive growth.
Our Vision Sustainable integrated development of agriculture for rural livelihood enhancement, generation of economic growth and opportunities in state of Chhattisgarh.
Dr. Alok Kumar Tiwari Dean Agriculture is the key source of livelihood for 70% of the rural population of the state. The agricultural economy of the Chhattisgarh state is characterized by dependence on nature, low investment, low productivity, inadequate irrigation facilities and small lands holdings. However, agriculture solves the issues related to crop production by implementing advanced mechanization such as precision farming, advance form machinery technologies and post-harvest management and processing. In a nutshell, crop productivity is an apex mode trying to provide ways to solve agriculture related problem, bringing upon research and technology in the same frame. Our prime aim is to provide a pragmatic approach to agriculture education. This enables our graduates to tackle farm problems in both the corporate and unorganized sectors, including the village level. Beside we provide our students with specialized training in field and agro-based industries. The syllabus and curriculum are designed adopting the holistic approach of learning based upon guidelines of ICAR and NEP 2020. Since the Chhattisgarh state was not having agricultural education programme at the undergraduate level of Saja, district Bemetara the initiative was taken by government and Kumari Devi Choubey College of Agriculture and Research Station (KDC CARS) has been stablished at IGKV, Raipur campus. B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) programme in agriculture has been introduced with intake of 25 students for the academic year 2019-20. The KDC CARS Saja is aimed to produce a good no. of trained agriculturist to support and maintain the pace of rural agricultural development in the state.
