Hon’ble Dr. Girish Chandel, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Vishwavidyalya Raipur Visited KVK Balrampur on dated 19-11-2022 along with, Dr. Vivek Kumar Tripathi, Director Research Services, IGKV Raipur, Dr. B.P. Katlam, Technical Officer, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Vikas Singh Thakur, Incharge AICRP Arhar. During the visit of KVK Balrampur CC road, implement cum vehicle shed, fan pad poly house, Kadaknath hatchery unit, Seed grader unit, Milk processing units, Threshing floor were inaugurated as well as work of Seed production was observed in Krishi Vigyan Kendra farm. Cow rearing, Quail rearing and poultry rearing unit also visited by Hon’ble VC. The Vice-Chancellor directed to promote Orange Sweet Potato variety in the district and appreciated sweet potato Cutting production as well as availability of beta carotene is more in Orange Sweet Potato, which is helpful in preventing night blindness in children. Observed the fruit plants being prepared in the center and suggested grafting of three varieties in the same plant, so that three different varieties of fruits can be obtained in one tree. Instructed to encourage the innovation of various farmers and provide market, so that the income of the farmers can be increased and inaugurated the natural farming training program by lighting the lamp and told the importance of it to the farmers and the material seeds and seeds for the promotion of natural farming distribution done. Along with seed production in the field, instructions were given to increase the production of fruit plants as per the demand of the farmers and suggestions were given to increase the production of pulses and oilseed crops in the district. During the visit fruit plant jackfruit was planted by the guests in the field of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Balrampur.
