1. Director, ATARI, Dr. S. R. K. Singh visited KVK Bemetara farm Jhal. He arrived to KVK, Bemetara at 1:30 PM on dated 21.12.2022. He visited administrative Building first and then exhibition hall, and saw various products/exhibits i.e. handicraft items of banana fiber, Sweet potato starch, Honey extracted from different crops and Essential oil from aromatic crops. 2. Formal discussion with staff member and get to know about the progress and various activity of KVK Bemetara. 3. After that Director Sir visited farmer’s Hostel building. There live demonstration of handmade banana fiber paper making was given to Director Sir. He appreciates the products made from handmade paper machine. 4. Then Director Sir visited Hi-tech Nursery. The whole principle of working of Hi-tech Nursery was explained by Shri Toshan Kumar Thakur, I/c Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Bemetara. Supply chain of vegetable seedling was explained to Director ATARI. Director- ATARI gives suggestion to developed Public Private Partnership for vegetable seedling production and also disseminates this concept to as much farmer as possible. 5. Then Director Sir visited under construction building of seed godown and take note of its progress 6. The live demonstration of essential oil extraction was given to Director ATARI and various information regarding different kind and quantity of oil extracted by oil extraction unit was given by Shri Toshan Kumar Thakur, Senior Scientist and Head. Director Sir suggested to prepare proper supply chain for essential oil utilization. 7. Director ATARI Sir also visited newly installed animal feed making machine and given his valuable suggestion to exploits its future possibilities. 8. Small nursery prepared under MGNEREGA project was also visited by Director ATARI. 9. At the last Director Sir taken overview regarding seed production program at KVK, Bemetara, Farm, Jhal. At the end of visit final vote of thanks to Director ATARI was given by Shri Toshan Kumar Thakur, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Bemetara. Director ATARI departs from KVK Bemetara at 3:00 PM on dated 20.12.2022.
