Jagdalpur, 06 March, 2024| The Shaheed Gundadhur College of Agriculture and Research Station, Jagdalpur organized valedictory function of Innovation Fair jointly coordinated by Indira Gandhi Agriculture University, Raipur and Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, Raipur. The objective of organizing the Innovation Fair was to encourage the innovative talent and to increase the innovative inclination towards innovation among the students, researchers, farmers, entrepreneurs and independent researchers.The two-dayfair was attended by 232 participants including school & college students, teachers, farmers, entrepreneurs, young innovators and scientists from various institutions all across Chhattisgarh. The chief guest of the function Vice-Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agriculture University, Dr. Girish Chandel. gave a greeting message to all the participants. The chief guest complimented the participants for their impeccable turnout and emphasized the vital role of innovation in day today life and how scientific temperament can give a path for success in life and encouraged them for thinking out of the box ideas for a successful viksitbharat @2047.
On this occasion, Dr. Vivek Tripathi, Director Research Services, Dr. S.S. Tuteja, Director Farm, IGKV and Dr. R.S. Netam, Dean, Shaheed Gundadhur College of Agriculture and Research Station, Jagdalpur and Dr. Amit Dubey, Chief Scientist, Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, Raipur along with university officials including senior scientists and heads of Krishi Vigyan Kendra’s, were also present.Total 232 participants presented their innovation in the two-day innovation fair which includes 148 innovation models/exhibitions, 9 oral presentationand 75 poster presentation. The winners were announced by the evaluation committee after dividing them into four different categories.In Agriculture based posters and models, first place was captured by Digital Agriculture by Dr. R.R. Saxena and team, second place jointly by Dr. Harvinder Kumar Singh, Innovations related to mushroom processingandcomprehensive plan for cost of cultivation of major crops in India, (CS Scheme), Director Asst. Services Raipur and third place achieved by Dr. Ravinder Soni in Bio-fertilizer based innovation.In category ofagriculture-based innovation,first place was grabbed by Harshaj Singh Tuteja for enhancing the mechanization technology of horsegramin the scenario of Chhattisgarh, second place by Dr. Jitendra Kumar Joshi and innovative farmer team for designing and manufacturing of low-cost automatic incubator for hatching eggs of duck and quail and third place by Ritwik Chaubey for aloeverabased probiotic milk beverages. In the category science and technology, first place was secured by Dr. Jitendra Sinha for solar powered cycle and irrigation pump, second place by Dr. Dheeraj Khalkhofor soil moisture-based intelligence monitoring smart sensor system and third place by Dr. R.K. Naik for solar powered cutter machine of gram plants. In the special category carved for school students based on science model/innovation exhibition, first place was secured by Government Higher Secondary School, Keshalur, second place was grabbed by Government Higher Secondary School, Morathpal and third place jointly occupied by Nirmal Higher Secondary School, Jagdalpur and Swami Atmanand School Mavalibhata. The event concluded with blessing from Dr. R. S. Netam, acknowledging the immense support received from all the participants in making the programme a huge success.
