About Us The Agricultural higher education was initiated in Janjgir Champa, with the establishment of College of Agriculture and Research Station, Janjgir Champa, as constituent college of INDIRA GANDHI KRISHI VISHWAVIDYALAYA, Raipur. The College is facilitated with administrative building including well sophisticated library, classrooms, well equipped laboratories and hostels (for boys and girls).
College of Agriculture and Research Station, Janjgir Champa, follows a holistic approach for the development of the agriculture by integrating teaching, research and extension activities and assumes specific responsibility for improvement of rural life in totality. The diversity of the activities of the college is carried out through agriculture education apart from teaching, research and extension.

Our History College of Agriculture and Research Station, Janjgir Champa (C.G.), foundation was laid on August 29, 2011 by the Government of Chhattisgarh. College of Agriculture and Research Station, Janjgir Champa is situated in Village- Jarve (Ch.), about 9 km away from Janjgir Naila Railway Station. The campus provides congenial environment for studies with lush greenery all around.
Geographically, the college campus is situated at 22.01170 N latitude and 82.57530 E longitudes and with an elevation of 259m (850 feet) above MSL. The climate conditions are quite congenial for cultivation of a wide array of agricultural crops. The undergraduate program was started in academic session 2011-12. Initially, intake capacity of the UG program was only 25 students. College administrative building was inaugurated by the then, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, on February 08, 2016.

Our Mission To empower students with latest agricultural educational, techniques and skills to promote their employability and encourage them to become agro-entrepreneurs, with emphasis on practical-oriented teaching to develop skills and analytical capability of students.

Our Vision Agriculture College is driven to provide excellent agricultural educational opportunities that are responsive to the sustainable development of agriculture and needs of our students and empower them to meet challenges as active participants in shaping the future of our agricultural world.

The College of Agriculture and Research Station, Janjgir Champa offers B.Sc. (Agriculture) degree program. The College is located in village Jarve (Ch.), Janjgir Champa (C.G.) The total area of the college is 67 acres and total strength of the students is 258. The college has well equipped class rooms, sports and library facilities. The College accredited by ICAR New Delhi and implemented the recommendations of the Fifth Deans’ Committee of ICAR with effect from the academic year 2016-17.
